  • My clients love me and never cancel! So I don't use a contract and I've never had a problem with that. Isn't that correct?
No, this is not correct for several reasons. But when it comes to selling your business or accounts without a contract, unfortunately there is very little value in working without a contract and it is very difficult to find a buyer. Even if we find buyers, the price they will pay will be much less than if you had good contracts with all your customers. People do not understand the main reason for having a legal agreement (contract) with a client: A) the contract is a financial agreement between you and the customer, which validates your invoice in the event of a collection problem. B) the contract limits your liability in the event of a loss, which is mandatory to keep your insurance in force, talk to your insurer!
  • What will happen to my current office, will it be open?
Probably not. Most buyers want to achieve maximum economy of scale and combine their acquisitions in their existing offices. On occasion, they might be in expansion mode into a new region and need to keep the office local.
  • What will happen to my employees if I sell?
This varies greatly from acquisition to acquisition, but in many cases most salespeople and technicians will be offered employment with the buyer. Buyers will attempt to find positions for other employees, but this will depend on their skills and performance and their value to the buyer.
  • What factors influence value?
The most important factor is the quality of your customer contracts. Second, a buyer considers the payment method used, ease of customer transfer, and churn history.
  • How does the Maestria skills assessment process work?
We use a variety of tests and assessment tools to provide an accurate and in-depth analysis of candidate skills and knowledge. We work with you to develop effective strategies to assess candidate skills and knowledge, and to identify the best candidates for your company.
  • Will you be handled by an experienced buyer? will you receive your money?
You need someone with experience in alarm business sales to guide you through the process. Remember, most acquiring companies have done this before, sometimes multiple times, and know how to structure a deal in their favor. But what's best for them probably isn't what's best for you.
